2014 Maserati Ghibli Aces IIHS Test; Scores Top Safety Pick Rating

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has recently named the 2014 Maserati Ghibli as a Top Safety Pick in the car's crash test ratings. The IIHS put the Ghibli through the gauntlet as they do every vehicle, testing the vehicle's side impact, front moderate overlap impact, roof crush, and rear impact safety.

Maserati's Ghibli scored the highest possible rating given by the institute of "Good" which is very impressive. Owners of the new Ghibli seem to get it all from the manufacturer: price, style, technology, comfort, and power.

Touching on that last point, the AWD version of the Ghibli can go from 0-60 in less than five seconds, and has an enormous 404 hp all at the driver's disposal. Maserati has leveled the playing field as well by giving the Ghibli a competitive price that puts it directly in line with BMW's 5-Series and the Mercedes-Benz E-Class.

New car buyers are looking for a checklist of everything possible in their automobile, and the revitalized and resurrected Maserati Ghibli model surely checks off all the boxes. Have you test driven a new Ghibli yet?

We hear there's a new Maserati dealership in Danvers, MA worth checking out...
